This "dress rehearsal" of your bridal look is an essential part of your wedding planning process. Sip a glass of bubbly and let's chat one on one about your hair and makeup needs and inspiration. Equal parts image consultation service and planning meeting, we will create your hair and makeup look, as well as sort the details and logistics of scheduling your services for your big day. For best results, plan to book your session within two to three months of your wedding date.

This session is designed to capture who you are and the way you love to look. Typically a bit more casual in feel than the look we will create for your wedding day, this session is the perfect opportunity for us to connect before we start to plan your wedding hair and makeup design.

1 hour roundtrip is included with every on location booking. $125 per hour will be billed for any additional travel time thereafter. Hotel accommodations are required for more than 2 hours of travel for bookings with a morning call time.

What is your beauty esthetic? How would you describe your style?

The best way to describe my style is clean, chic and classic beauty with a modern twist. Time tested beauty that is enhanced with the most advanced tools and techniques. I am best known for my natural approach to enhancing and beautifying skin of all types and tones, and for creating gorgeous eye looks and romantic hairstyles.

Why do you offer your Full Service Package option? Won’t my hair and makeup look last?

I’ve perfected the art of creating a long lasting hair and makeup design to suit any environment and situation. However, I have found it to be the most beneficial to your overall experience to remain with you longer than after the final makeup and hair services are completed. This allows me to be with you throughout your wedding day portraits to be sure that your look remains just as it did at completion before and after your ceremony. I will be on hand to remove your veil if you have one, keep you fresh between kisses and hugs, and touch you and your tears of joy up after your “I Do’s” . This service is especially beneficial during the warmer months, if you are doing any pre-ceremony photography, or if you and your groom will be seeing each other before the ceremony, (ie: a first glance, or first look-which both typically happen hours before you even walk down the aisle). I just believe that my best service goes beyond the bridal beauty process, and I want my brides to have the best beauty and photography experience possible. My brides love it, and so do their photographers and planners!

How much time is included in The Full Service Package?

I will remain with you after your final service is complete to keep your look picture-perfect during your photos up until your reception time. My brides don’t typically need me much longer than that, however, you are more than welcome to hire me at my hourly rate if I am able to accommodate the additional time.

What is airbrush makeup, and do I need it?

I utilize both traditional and airbrush makeup application in my artwork. An airbrush is a tool that micronizes liquid makeup into a fine spray that allows for a more controlled application and manageable coverage. I use my airbrush just as I do any other brush in my kit, and I reach for it when I need to really finely edit an area of the skin, or perfect certain areas that may require a bit more coverage. Sort of the way a photographer edits imperfections in a photo. My particular style of application is to custom create a foundation for my clients based on their particular needs, and then I use my airbrush to perfect it as needed. The foundation I use in my airbrush is a professional one that looks just like skin, only better, and has a very long wear and beautiful finish.

Tell me more about false eyelashes...Do I need them?

I don’t believe that anyone necessarily needs false lashes, however I do specialize in creating soft, wearable lash looks with individual lashes that feel weightless and comfortable on the eyes, and photography beautifully. I custom design them to suit every face I touch. My lash design service is included with every makeup application.

What products do you use?

Only the very best hair and makeup tools and products make it into my professional kit. Each one has been specifically chosen by me for their tried and true performance, and beautiful results. I use all prestige and professional makeup brands such as NARS, MAKEUP FOREVER, Laura Mercier, MAC, Tarte, Stila, Limelight, Kevyn Aucoin, Bobbi Brown, YSL, Limelight by Alcone, Chanel, Temptu Pro, Ben Nye, Inglot, Kryolan, Cinema Secrets, Tom Ford, and Charlotte Tilbury-just to name a few, as well as products from my own line of branded cosmetics. I believe that all beautiful makeup starts with great skin prep, and I only use very gentle, fragrance free cleansers and prep products from skin conscious brands such as Limelight, Embryolisse, Bioderma, and Tatcha. For hair I am partial to the styling products from Oribe, Kenra, Aquage , Schwarzkopf, Davines, Bumble and Bumble and TIGI. If there is particular ingredient you know you are sensitive to, or if you have any known allergies, please communicate them to me as soon as you can so I can help you decide what products are best for you!

Do you offer tattoo coverage?

I do offer tattoo coverage as a service at a rate of $25 per square inch of the area you wish to have covered. I use alcohol based color correctors and airbrush makeup that create a water resistant and transfer resistant finish that requires no additional touch up. I require a signed release of liability with each tattoo coverage service. As with any makeup or cosmetic that is designed to be water resistant it may not be completely heat or sweat proof, therefore I can not 100% guarantee its permanence or that over time it may not transfer to other areas of your skin or clothing with heat, sweat or natural elements such as weather, friction or sun exposure.

Do you have a second artist fee? How many services can you accommodate alone?

The makeup and hair looks  I create for my clients take time and focus, and my focus is always on my bride, however, I can accommodate up to six hair or makeup services on my own without having to start your day too early, and work within your photography timeline. You’re welcome to book another artist of your choice on your own if your headcount exceeds what i alone can accomplish, or I can book one of my preferred professional artists to assist me for an additional $250 booking and scheduling fee.

Some of my ladies only want their hair OR makeup done...which do you recommend?

If your budget is set to where you must choose between my hair OR makeup services, I highly recommend choosing professional makeup. In fact, I don’t even offer hair styling only for my brides. I know that we all have longstanding relationships with our hairstylists, and I understand if you are committed to yours. Just be sure that your stylist does wedding hair regularly, works with a solid contract and is familiar with the needs of your wedding day timeline and schedule.

Do you have overtime fees?

If my day with you exceeds 8 hours (not including my travel time)  then my hourly rate of $125/hour will be assessed.

My wedding starts early, and my ladies and I need to be ready very early. Is there an additional charge for your time?

For services that must begin before 8 am there is a $125 hourly fee added to your package balance due.

My venue doesn’t open to get ready in until the late morning/early afternoon. How might this affect our getting ready time?

To ensure the quality and service I have built my business and reputation on, I schedule each hair OR makeup service for 45 minutes, including finishing touches just before dressing time. I design your schedule based on the time your photographer needs you and your ladies to be dressed and ready for photos. If your contracted services need to begin earlier than your venue allows entry for, then the client is responsible for securing an alternate location to perform all hair and makeup services prior to your travel and arrival to the venue. If you wish to have me pack up and travel with you from your starting location to your venue, then an additional time and travel fee may apply for myself and when applicable, my assistant artists.

How should I choose a place to get ready in?

My chair, light and equipment don’t take up much more space than a small side table and access to the best natural light, however if I am having a team join me, or if you have more than 3 or 4 total ladies having services, then a large room or a hotel suite with adjoining rooms will be needed to allow for ample space for us, our equipment and set up, and for your comfort and enjoyable experience

Do you require a vendor meal?

Most of my brides are so sweet to offer, however my service typically ends just before dinner time.  If I am going to be with you all day, then being included in your lunch plans is always a kind and welcome gesture. If I am to be with you beyond my 8 hour shift, then a hot meal is greatly appreciated.

What if my ladies and/or I are running late?

In the event that your services start later than the arrival and set up time that we have agreed upon and I have scheduled us for, there will be a fee of $125 per hour assessed. Also, please understand that a person’s late arrival will shave time off of their appointment if they can’t switch their time with another person. In the case of a late or no show, they will still be charged their full contracted amount. In the case that the late or no show is absent, the bride will be billed the contracted amount if it hasn’t already been paid prior to the wedding date.

What is your travel rate, and how do you calculate it?

I include up to 60 minutes round trip with every booking, and charge $125 for each additional hour of travel. Hotel accommodations are required in addition to travel fee for bookings that require more than three total hours of round trip travel.

Do you accept tips? Are they included in your rates?

Gratuities are never expected, although always appreciated for a job well done.

What forms of payment do you accept?

I accept all forms of payment in my studio. Fo weddings, I require credit card payment for reserving your wedding date, and for final balance, which must be made in full the week before your wedding date. If you wish to pay cash, please connect with me for your options.

*Individual payments on the wedding day will not not accepted* If your attendees plan to pay for their own services, it must be collected prior to the wedding day to pay your balance in full.

When should I book your services, and will you hold my date?

No wedding date is held without a signed contract and date retainer in place, and all dates are first come first served.  It is  recommended that you reserve your date right away if I am able to accommodate you. All rates are subject to change, and all services will be booked at the rate that is current at the time of your contract.

What is the next step if I am ready to secure my date?

Booking your date is quick, easy, and secure with my easy to use e-contract. To reserve your date, I will send it over for you to complete online with your wedding day details and your confirmed headcount for hair and makeup services, and credit card information.  A 50% retainer of the BRIDE’s contracted services is due to reserve your wedding date. For example, if you choose the Full Service Package, $600 of the rate is due now to reserve. If you choose to build an A La Carte Hair and Makeup Package, $250 is due now with your contract. Your remaining balance will be due in one full payment the week of your wedding.
